Ocean Energy System (OES) – Annual Report

The water resources are immense in our world, and as an energy source they are a highly available form of alternative energy. They are either continuously available such as ocean currents and river flows, or daily periodic such as tidal flows. The energy potential of flowing water is greater than other alternative energy resources such as wind and sun.

Our project is international, involving people, corporations and organizations from the United States, Italy, Monaco, Sweden, Germany and United Kingdom. We have created a team that to date engages 27 highly qualified persons to create a highly efficient turbine.

Our program will produce an augmented turbine system that consists of an improved VAWT (vertical axis water turbine), an augmentor system, and a specially developed power generation system to extract the flowing water energy. These product developments are organized, coordinated, and controlled by Safrema Energy.

We have organized facilities and ensured the external support required to convert this resource potential to a readily deployable system. We are currently developing a turbine, a flow augmentation system and a floatable structure.

Our team fulfills all the necessary requirements on know-how and implementation skills in making this turbine project a real and tangible solution to the renewable industry. Yes, we are in a hurry to bring our commercially viable systems into production – our team of entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists and manufacturers are on the job of making the dream of a utility scale VAWT power generation system a reality.

We will produce three different models: steady stream, tidal and river turbines.

After years of observations in the renewable energy industry like solar, wind and other marine technologies, I came to the conclusion that most of the avail- able technologies cannot survive without being substantially subsidized by different government entities. My motivation was to create a system that can perform and be financially viable without subsidies.

We have created a team of international renowned scientists and experts that will realize the dream of reaching grid parity. We are developing a very profitable system with the lowest Kilowatt-Hours pricing ever realized for renewable energy. This is due to the fact that our system cost is low versus a high power output and has a constant factor.

We have achieved great advances due to efficient coordination and collaboration between every involved party. It is almost like a great sports team: Every individual player has to function to be able to win as a team, this positive atmosphere is catching. I know from experience.

Ocean Energy System OES is an international organization created to promote and enhance Ocean Energy Systems around the world and specifically coordinates information and support to member countries. Presently there are 19 member countries including Italy and United States of America. Ocean Energy Systems is a part of the International Energy Agency (IEA).
